About GSNMB
The Greek Society of Nuclear Medicine & Biology (GSNM&B) was founded in 1968 by the memorable Honored Member
of the Academy of Athens for Sciences and Philosophy, Professor of Medicine Vassilios Malamos.
It is one of the oldest European societies in Nuclear Medicine and nowadays its members have reached the number
of two hundred and twenty (220) Scientists, who are oriented from all of our country districts.
Members of GSNM&B are:
Nuclear Medicine Physicians, Medical Physisists, Radiochemists, Radiopharmacists, Biologists, other Scientists with
special interest in the field of Nuclear Medicine and also technologists working in Nuclear Medicine
or related fields.
The Society's Board Members are :
The President, the Vice-President, the Secretary, the Assistant Secretary, the Treasurer and two Members.
All the Society's board members are elected for a three years tenure by the Society's members at the members'
General Assembly. The GSNM&B is the only Society in Nuclear Medicine recognised by the Hellenic Republic.
The Society is responsible for Nuclear Medicine and serves as the official Advisor of the Greek State
in any issue and problem arising in the field.
In order to achieve its responsibilities and scopes the Society has organized a number of committees such as :
The Committee for Education and Continuing Medical Education in Nuclear Medicine, the Committee for
Radioprotection and quality control. |
